Jammu and Kashmir is know as crown of India the state of Jammu & Kashmir share border with Himachal Pradesh and Punjab in the south, while it also has an international border with Pakistan (Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir) in the west and northwest and Republic of China in north and northeast. This is also the reason why this famous all over the world. The state is carefully divided in to three prime regions namely, Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh.  The Summer Capital is Srinagar for a period of 6 months from May – Oct ending and The Winter Capital is Jammu for a period of six months from November – April ending. 

Picturesque and enchanting, Kashmir is cradled high in the lofty green Himalayas and hailed all over the world for its incredible natural beauty. Surrounded by mountain peaks, lush green valleys, glistening lakes, temples and spectacular Mughal-era gardens, it has inspired poets through centuries.

Itinerary

Day : 1 – PICK UP FROM JAMMU

You will be met by our Kashmir Yatra representative in Jammu. They will pick you up and drive to visit Patnitop, a beautiful hill station. After exploring Patnitop, continue your journey to Srinagar.

Day : 2 - SRINAGAR

After breakfast, visit local sights including the famous Mughal gardens: Cheshma Shahi (Royal Spring), Nishat (Garden of Pleasure), and Shalimar (Abode of Love), all dating back to the 16th century, located along the bank of Dal Lake in the heart of Srinagar city. Also visit the Shankaracharya Temple, situated on a hilltop offering a panoramic view of the entire city, including Dal Lake and the Jhelum River. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day : 3 - SRINAGAR TO SONAMARG -87 Kms)

After breakfast, we will drive to the majestic mountain resort of Sonamarg. The scenic route takes us through rolling hills, green forests, clear water streams, and blooming rice fields. We will pass the town of Kangan, which caters to the region's local needs, and continue towards Mammar, known for its trout farm, where we can stop for a warm cup of tea. On the way, we'll visit Gagangir, a picturesque spot located in the middle of the Sindh River, surrounded by snow-covered glaciers. In Sonamarg, you can opt for a 3-hour walk or horseback ride to the Thajiwas Glacier (additional cost). In the evening, we will head back to Srinagar for an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day : 4 - SRINAGAR - GULMARG - SRINAGAR DAY TRIP

After breakfast in the morning, we will begin our scenic drive towards Gulmarg, situated at 2440 meters above sea level. Known as the "Meadows of Flowers," Gulmarg is one of the most beautiful hill stations in Kashmir. As we drive past colorful villages and rice fields, you'll get a glimpse of the rich cultural history of the region. We will stop at the picturesque market town of Tangmarg and then continue on a 14-kilometer scenic drive to reach Gulmarg. Gulmarg is renowned for its world-class ski slopes and the highest 18-hole golf course. You can also take the Gondola cable car ride (on direct payment) and ascend towards the Afarwatt Mountain range. The 8-minute ride will take you past colorful shepherd huts to the lower ridge of Afarwatt Peak, offering spectacular views of the surrounding mountain ranges. In the evening, we will return to Srinagar for an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day : 5 - SRINAGAR PAHALGAM NIGHT STAY

After breakfast, we will begin our journey towards Pahalgam, driving along the National Highway 1A, which connects the Kashmir Valley to the rest of the country. Along the way, we will pass the saffron fields of Pampore, the marvelous ruins of Awantipura, and the village of Bijbehara, known as the "bread basket of Kashmir." You will have the chance to sample some exotic breads sold by local vendors along the roadside. We will continue our drive, switching to the national highway at Khanabal, and proceed through Anantnag, the second-largest city in Kashmir. As we move forward, the road becomes increasingly scenic, with the Lidder River flowing alongside, offering breathtaking views. Upon arrival in Pahalgam, we will check in at the hotel. Later, you can enjoy a relaxing nature walk to unwind and take in the stunning natural surroundings. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day : 6 - Drop Jammu Railway Station

After morning breakfast check out from hotel transfer to udhampur railway station sightseeing with Sweet Memories of Katra, Patnitop & Jammu and wonderful experience with us.
